These are photo postcards from before 1920 of the clubhouse and photos from between 1920 and 1925

As you are putting, these are some interesting shots to help in imagining yesteryear. The 1920's attire for golfers were pants with the cuffs pulled up a bit "plus 4's" and newsboy caps.
Hickory shafted clubs - niblicks and spoons and cleeks and mashies and baffies. The course has recently been redesigned and updated by George O'neill by late 1920 and it joins the ranks of the most prestigious clubs in all the United States at the time and hosts several professional and amateur tournaments. There were even plans to build another two courses and create a "Pinehurst west" feel but the plans never came to be and only the one 18 hole course was ever built.
The clubhouse was originally built in 1911 and was enlarged with additions over the decades before tragically burned to its foundation in the January, 2025 Altadena fire.
In its day, guests and members could also stay at the club as bungalows were built specifically for making a weekend of it and mixing in some horseback riding and maybe a trip up the Mt. Lowe Incline to the Echo Mountain Chalet. It would have enticed the player as they looked up at the hills beyond the 18th green on approach and saw the white city atop the hill only a few miles and short trolley ride distant.
