Lake Gregory Self-Guided Walking Tour
In 1906 a syndicate of San Bernardino investors bought 630 acres atop this ridge for $11,000 and held a contest to name their new summer colony. The winner — "Crestline," the line of the crest — stuck, even though the town never did: it remains an unincorporated community of about 11,600, with no mayor and no city hall.
